<p>For any videos made on the iPad, we need to make sure that the Google Drive app is installed.  Students can then save their videos to the camera roll on the iPad and from there upload directly to Google Drive as follows:</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Step 1.</strong> Look for and click on the share button icon (in Adobe Voice this is located on the top right hand side of the screen).</p>
<p><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-1894" src="https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2227-1024x630.jpg" alt="IMG_2227" width="500" height="308" srcset="https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2227-1024x630.jpg 1024w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2227-300x184.jpg 300w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2227-330x203.jpg 330w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2227-690x425.jpg 690w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2227-1050x646.jpg 1050w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2227-941x580.jpg 941w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2227.jpg 1203w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Step 2.</strong> Click on the icon of a camera to save the video to the iPad&#8217;s camera roll.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-1893" src="https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_22131.jpg" alt="IMG_2213" width="500" height="515" srcset="https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_22131.jpg 1372w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_22131-291x300.jpg 291w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_22131-994x1024.jpg 994w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_22131-330x339.jpg 330w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_22131-690x710.jpg 690w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_22131-1050x1081.jpg 1050w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_22131-563x580.jpg 563w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Step 3.</strong> Wait a moment while the video saves.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-1889" src="https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2214-972x1024.jpg" alt="IMG_2214" width="500" height="527" srcset="https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2214-972x1024.jpg 972w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2214-284x300.jpg 284w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2214-330x347.jpg 330w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2214-690x726.jpg 690w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2214-1050x1105.jpg 1050w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2214-550x580.jpg 550w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2214.jpg 1353w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Step 4.</strong> Open up the Google Drive app on the iPad.  Click on the icon of a plus sign + to create a new file.  Then click Upload.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-1887" src="https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2216.jpg" alt="IMG_2216" width="500" height="411" srcset="https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2216.jpg 734w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2216-300x246.jpg 300w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2216-330x271.jpg 330w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2216-690x566.jpg 690w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2216-706x580.jpg 706w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Step 5.</strong> Once the video has uploaded, click on the (i) button.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1886" src="https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2219.jpg" alt="IMG_2219" width="399" height="393" srcset="https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2219.jpg 399w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2219-300x295.jpg 300w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2219-330x325.jpg 330w" sizes="(max-width: 399px) 100vw, 399px" /></p>
<p><strong>Step 6.</strong> Click Add people.  Students should also make sure that they click Get Link, so that once embedded into their digital portfolios, the video can be viewed by everyone on the school domain.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-1888" src="https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2220-438x1024.jpg" alt="IMG_2220" width="438" height="1024" srcset="https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2220-438x1024.jpg 438w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2220-128x300.jpg 128w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2220-248x580.jpg 248w" sizes="(max-width: 438px) 100vw, 438px" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Step 7.</strong> The student should then type in the teacher&#8217;s email address, so that the teacher can access the video.  They can then embed the video to the digital portfolio.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-1890" src="https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/IMG_2221-1024x768.png" alt="IMG_2221" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>The teacher will be able to view all the student videos in the &#8216;Shared with me&#8217; section of Google Drive.  I recommend creating a folder called Digital Stories and copying all students&#8217; videos into this folder.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-1892" src="https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Digital-storytelling-1024x526.png" alt="Digital storytelling" width="754" height="388" srcset="https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Digital-storytelling-1024x526.png 1024w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Digital-storytelling-300x154.png 300w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Digital-storytelling-330x169.png 330w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Digital-storytelling-690x355.png 690w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Digital-storytelling-1050x540.png 1050w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Digital-storytelling-1127x580.png 1127w, https://technologyforlearners.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Digital-storytelling.png 1164w" sizes="(max-width: 754px) 100vw, 754px" /></p>
